Question for Oz members..1.8 Nissan Turbo

 I noticed a large number of Nissan variants are 
motoring around Oz...   Does anyone know the specifics
of a 1.8 litre Turbocharged EFI Nissan engine?
Prolly late 80's to early 90's.  I am in the US, and have
an opportunity to grab one, but know nothing about it. 
It was never available here in the states..
HP, torque, boost #'s, compression ratio, etc....
I hoping it has lots of strong (forged) internals, as
I like lots of boost...    :-)
