<question about placing a resistor in series w/injectors>

Electromagnetic devices operate because of electric current.  If the 6ohm
injectors are designed for 12V and no series resistor, that means that they
would draw 2 Amps nominal for 24Watts (sounds high?).  If you put a 6 ohm
resistor in series with that, the Injector would only see 1Amp at 6V (the 12V
gets divided between the resistor and the injector), or 6W.  That is only one
fourth the power, and probably not enough to operate the valve.  You should
determine the operating current of the injectors, and proceed from there.
