One of the possible OBD III "features" is the ability of the bureacracy to
read codes, etc. via some form of 2 way communication. In other
words, every time you drive by the donut shop, smokey reads your codes,
your VSS output or whatever. Add a printer port to the cars computer and
they wont even have to stop you to issue the ticket.

Apparently this is already done in Austria and perhaps some other
EuroCountries.
