Ah Ha!! A man with taste. I have one of their catalogues tucked away
somewhere--will try to hunt it up and get you the info and/or a copy.
Fascinating stuff therein. I think they are the source for the 427 cammer
that is either in or about to go into Jay Leno's Cobra, among others. I bet
that job required a shoe horn made out of unobtanium!! Doc's gonna need
unobtanium skis now!! :-)

The thing which I have heard has become utterly impossible to obtain (at
this point) are the (.100" ??) wider (rod??) bearing inserts for the really
special Le Mans/NASCAR FE motors. Cranks, of course, can be built.

Unless I am badly mistaken, Dove is right there in Ohio, Bruce. Apparently,
Ford does not put old tooling away in a barn--at least not forever--it
would appear that they sell it and or CNC programs for making the stuff to
influential friends of SVO bigwigs, or something of that sort. If we are
not careful, pretty soon we will be paying BATF agents to run around the
country confiscating CNC tapes for politically incorrect engine hardware,
the way they already do for machine gun parts!!! Little Al wants it that
way!!

Also, I believe I have heard that there is someone in U.K. who is doing
Cobra kit car bodies (frames too??) off of the original body bucks, as
acquired by them from AC Cars,, Ltd., probably over a jar with ol' Shel's
retired heartin it!!

Regards, Greg :-)
