Agreed. The barb does the work and the clamp is the insurance. I did see a
Bozo fix on a power steering conversion once wherein two dissimilar
PRESSURE hoses were spliced with a piece of tubing and 2 hose clamps. [no
barb] It actually worked for a day and a half...Of course, the fact that
steering left turned the car right kinda took your mind off the pressure
hose.
