GM water pump

I posted a message on a water pump problem I had been having with a
small block V8 engine.  The engine had gone through about 3 pumps in one
9 months and now with my own experience 2 pumps in three weeks the last
started leaking in 2 days.  The last 2 pumps were genuine AC Delco.  The
pump leaks through the hole in the bottom.  There was a bit of
eccentricity after the first pump that I corrected with a new hub and
fan clutch, the fan seems balanced. I was really dissapointed in the
feed back from you guys the last time so you V8 guys please chip in.
The one observation I made is that the intake manifold was once removed
could a badly installed intake gasket be the problem??. The gasket
according to Haynes Manual has a block on the rear coolant passages,
what if it was removed or placed to the front passage instead???
We can't always get Toyotas to work on every day. Please help.
