GM water pump

It was several years ago that I ran into the 2 pump problem and have 
not kept current.  At that time there were several  of the chain auto 
stores that only showed one pump.  I went to a local pump rebuilder 
who would not sell me a pump without a core because they were scarce.
I got rid of the truck(not for waterpump problems) and bought a 
powerstroke ford.  Sooo I very well could be full of that stuff.
