Jaycar Knock Sensor Re: Injector Duty Cycle

I installed the Jaycar Knock Sensor on my car. The circuit is basically an
amplifier, hi-pass filter, low-pass filter, Schotcky diode to coil, buzzer
& LED level meter.

The knock sensor element is either home-made ( bit of metal with piezo
element out of Ear Piece and coax connected to it) or commercial unit from
Wrecker.

I found the Kit version to be OK, it worked first go (and so it should
since the electronics are very simple). However the sensitivity range was
too coarse (trimpot).

However, I disconnected the buzzer straight off. It drove me crazy while I
was nutting out the sensitivity issue.

Jaycar still produce this kit, Engine Knock Sensor (KC-5203) AUD$34.95
