GM pickup coil and ignition coil mismatch

Not that this answers any of the questions posed in this thread but as I
understand all GM pickups are hall-effect sensors and they may very well
be matched to the coil/hei module but just to let everybody know in my
Jeep's distributor I am using the stock reluctor coil pickup to trigger
the GM HEI/coil package... Not sure what that means but it brings up
some more questions....
