toilet plunger knock test?

With or without the plunger and tap the block near the sensor,  just the
equivalent of dropping it from 2-3" onto the block.  I have seen guys use
1/2" extensions too.  It's not necc to get carried away.  Just a few bumps
should let you know if the sensor is working.
