Doing plug cuts.
Run the car till ya have a couple seconds of this noise, and cut the engine
release the load, neutral/clutch in. Coast to a stop, and let things cool,
and
start pulling plugs. If you see little black/silver flecks on the center
electrode
you have detonation. Do this very carefully perferably on a limited access
area. When ya kill the engine, no power steering, or power brakes. This is
meant to be used on/for a race track.
If it's bad enough you might have aome traces on them eithout the plug
cuts.
MIght get a plug magnifier, to really see what's going on.
