Direct Injection

With port injection, the best atomization is letting the fuel puddle on the
back of the valve then hitting it with a blast of exhaust when the intake
valve opens. On SEFI when does the fuel inject? Isn't it when the intake
valve is closed? Maybe someone here has actual data. Remember, the
cylinder pressure exceeds the intake pressure when the intake valve opens.
