I think Stoddard solvent is the usual testing fluid, more like 6.5
#/gallon, .78 Sp. grav. Again, this may vary from one mfgr and/or injector
to another.

You lose the effect on flow of the opening and closing transients on the
flow if it is just tested wide open.
