Nope - 1/2" is 13mm, 9/16 is 14 mm. 5/16 is awfull close to 8mm, ans 11/16
and 17mm are very close.
I've worked both Metric and imperial (sae) for years - and even some
Whitworth and BSF. By the way, both Whitworth and BSF wrenches are referred
to by their thread size, not their AF (across flats) size.
