Dan,

 I feel your pain, man.  I don't think you're expecting too much for too
little, either. Autometer is definitely trying to act like microsoft lately.
There is a sliver of hope, though.  Cyberdyne advertises an electric fp gauge
with sender for under $80; the downside, it's digital and looks a little
cheesy, but fits the 2 1/16" holes, I think.  Not sure which, Jegs or Summit
carries it.  As far as the egt, I don't know.
