I think that you should go with a exhaust gas temperature meter instead.

Even an wide band o2 meter cant determine if you pushed your car to far. It
can say what AFR you are running. The EGT meter can however show when you
have pushed it to far. The reason is often that the stock ems cant supply
enough fuel for the engine.

I strongly suggest the combination of an Autometer gauge but with an vdo
probe on a turbo car. Most Autometer dealers don't know shit about turbo
cars and the autometer probes aren't suitable for a turbo car, at least not
if the probe is installed before the turbo as it should be... The VDO gauge
itself should however not even be compared with the Autometer gauge.
Something makes the VDO meter respond _a lot_ slower then the autometer
gauge when using the same probe!
