Especially so.  The cross fires need alot to be right.
If you recall I mentioned increasing the plenum volume.
That also raises the vane assemblie off the manifold floor, and get the
"spray" closer to the ports.  Just looking at the stains on the manifold as
you make changes, is clear.

Forget what it was on the stock butterflies, but over an 1/8" with the 2"
butterflies.
I did it with gaskets, so I could experiment with height.
I tune to what works, not to a specific spec...
