Dual ign system question

The distributor part (just the cap and rotor) is close to $150 by
itself, the optical part is $140, so both together (rebuilt are about
$300).  A new one from GM is only $350.   Most of the ones that I have
heard that cleaned them off only fixed things for a short period of
time.
