ford tempo CFI throttle body

Hi. I am going to use a injector throttle body from a 2.3 litre 4 Cyl 1987
ford tempo.

the question I have is about the throttle position switch. I just bought a
new one, pricey too, and from some simple tests, it does not appear to have
an actual switch, but might have some hall effect sensors or something. Does
anyone on the list know ? the unit is sealed, it has 3 wires coming out of
it.
