Didn't we forget about the solenoid valve?
ERL has a nice unit that can be pulse width modulated, but the flowrate is a
bit low and it is expensive. It is compatible with up to 100% methanol.

If pwm is not needed there are several alternatives, but I haven't found one
below 100$
