If one is going to use a solenoid valve (non PWM) - could just use
a comparator type circuit (connected to boost pressure sensor - or throttle
position sensor) to trigger the valve.

Guess the pump would have to be controlled via some sort of pressure switch,
and
perhaps turn on when the valve opens (under boost or whatever) as well.
I'm enjoying this thread.

A/C pressure switch takes care of the pump, and good call on the on in boost
rather then wait for the pressure to drop, niceeeeeeeeeeee call
