Hi Sandy,
Long time since I heard from you...yeah it could be a mpc555....I only
heard it referred to as a 555 so I assumed 68555....I have a lead to get my
hands on a couple..so am looking into it....Thanks for the ISO info, I'll
check it out...ttyl

Do you mean the MPC555? I think that it the P/N, it is a really hot chip,
except you can't get them unless you are a major manufacture at last I
heard. Also it uses BGA (Ball Grid Array) for soldering to the PCB and you
need a production house to do it or some odd sockets. It is based on the
PowerPC and has a lot more 'stuff' crammed on it. For the ISO Smart card
information try www.dr7.com I think it is. Lots of information for those
that want to learn about ISO cards and other interesting things.
