I don't see any reason why not.  my only question is if it is needed or
not.  if the temp is being maintained well enough that the sensor gives
accurate data then why add more hardware & i think more importantly why add
another level of complication?

sounds to me like the temp control that is in that temp driver circuit SB
OK.
