I used the Split Second ARC-2 to convert from flapper box to hot wire MFS.
Great for idle and WOT, but I still have some frustrating drivability problems
at part throttle. The ARC-2 is the same as the ARC-1 you mentioned but has 4
pots instead of two. (low, mid, high, and throttle-opening enrichment) Forget
the ARC-1, even the ARC-2 doesn't have enough adjustment points. If you value
your engine you should use a proper wide-band sensor and a chassis dyno. On my
car, one click +/-of the high adjustment knob changed a/f ratio from 13/1 to
14.5/1 to 11/1. Not a lot of room to be "close". Trying to set the car up
with the ARC-2 and a standard O2 sensor was fruitless and frustrating, as well
as very hard on the engine. I at least had a knock-alarm and automatic
knock-retard. These protected me from my own foolishness quite often. They are
pretty expensive. Look into the Apex-i fuel controller. If they have an
application for your car it looks like a much better unit. Maybe someone on the
list has some experience with one of these. (I'd be curious also).
Hope this Helps,
