Mk2 golfs have injector shroud inserts. If you change the inserts from
one style to another, a solenoid injector will fit. The Mk1 cars had a
similar setup, and shared many of the engines. But they did not use
(afaik) the 2.0 Audi/Porsche that went in the 924. But that doesn't mean
it doesn't share the injector shroud. They come out with a 12 or 13 mm
hex, depending on year. They also usually have sealing rings. Eurosport
makes brass versions for the 1990 and up cars in their proprietary head.
Perhaps these would be a good way to go.
