Right now, my plan is to start out with the fuse, diode, and TVS as
discussed.  Next comes the sample circuit from the LM2596 datasheet (8V
adj).  This is followed by the LM2940 5V regulator circuit.  I'll post
it when I get the whole thing drawn up (soon).
