Many Motronics use BOSCH Part #1012 as its coil drive transistor. It is a
"selected" or "special" part for some reason? It appears to be just a NPN
Switching Transistor. Nothing special??????
It is probably "selected" for a low VCEsat. This reduces the internal power
dissipation on the transistor. Maybe speed "selected" too? Maybe a
substitute does not have to be so special? Has anyone put it on a curve
tracer or have data on it's specifications?
What substitutes have others been using for this part? As usual, thanks in
advance....
