another angle - using a NTK (honda) sensor with a speedpro

The guys i've talked to are all drag racers... so 2000 mi is an eternity for
them... I'm really not sure how they would even come up with that figure. I
highly doubt that they made 8000 1/4 passes and then had a sensor wear
out... Basically, the shops i've talked to with race-only cars made it sound
like they've been running for 1 - 1.5 years (since they started using
speedpros) on the same sensor with 110, 112 and 116 octane leaded gas...
i've gotten these results from both camaro and buick shops... the buick
shops also indicated that customer cars which see a bit more street action
and actually rack up some miles last for about 2000 mi... When i asked
felpro about this they were pretty ambiguous - they definitely didn't say
"whatever you do don't run it" but they also didn't say "no problem"...
Accel on the other hand made leaded gas sound like a major bad idea, but
they use a different sensor. I'll keep asking and let you know if i hear
anything else.
