Another thing you can do for a reluctor type pickup is make sure the leads
are
twisted several times per foot, and wrap it with tinfoil.  Then put your
conduit
and tape back over it.  That'll help, but make sure you have good resistor
type 
coil wires, and keep them well away from your box and leads.

Try use some ferrite beads, rings etc, close to the haltech. That might
get rid of rf.

Resistor works atlesast with the reluctor sensors. Maybe some volvo people
could answer if tach signal could be obtained elsewhere?
