simple wasted spark system???

just had a thought as I was cleaning the workshop
Could a simple wasted spark system be built, using say 3 pickups in a
dizzy(6cyl)then to a simple circuit that switched from 1coil pak to the
others in the right sequence then reset?
pick up>>CDI/MSD>>switching circuit>>coil pak
I have 3 coil paks from a Toyota 6 where the pak mounts on the spark plug a
lead goes to the other plug it fires.

what have I missed/forgot/no idea about?
