Yes but, it's a lock-up converter (currently in fourth only) so I might notice
it in OD under load at low rpm.

Hmmm, a cross-fire might be a little small for a 406, but I heard a rumor about
a new after-market cross-file manifold that'll really wake them up (bigger
runners etc), any truth to that?
How about the Howell concept of two two-barrel TBI's on a dual-quad manifold?
