MegaSquirt can be run in open-loop mode - in fact I have not fully tested
the closed loop mode so right now I am only running my engine in open
loop. To turn off the closed-loop mode, set the O2 step delta to zero -
this will inhibit the automatic stepping of the mixture.
One more point: with the tuning page and the O2 gauge (see the PC
Configurator screen shots at the megasquirt web site) I can tune each grid
point with the O2 reading. In fact, I recommend one to install an O2 sensor
even if they plan on running in open loop mode - the feedback one gets
while tuning is invaluable.
