MAF vs VAM

I believe that the VAM measures the volume of air,
while the MAF measures the mass of air. 
The bottom line is to figure out how much O2 (mass) is
coming in, then add the desired mass of fuel. 
So a VAM system must also measure the temperature and
pressure in order to compute the mass of the O2.
