Conventional wisdom is for the volume of each runner to equal or nearly
equal the cylinder volume. Hope that tidbit helps.

Subject: Intake manifold construction

I want to build a better intake manifold for my engine (3L V6, hoping
for 650hp at 1.5bar), can anyone recommend books/links for basic designs
?

I think a dual plenum intake with straight runners (maybe funnels ?) and
two throttle bodies will be the best solution, but how to calculate
runner lenght, diameter, plenum volume, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.
Bernd
