Spark plug pic's

Hi Bruce, the new Cobra's run anywhere from 190-215 F water temp. They
have a 190 deg t-stat and with the AC off the fans don't come on until
215 deg F. With the AC on of course they run closer to 190-200. I'm not
sure of the oil temp. I'm also not sure about the camera and the colors,
I'll see what the guy used to take the pictures. The car is totally
stock right down to the paper air filter. And was running fine or so he
thought. It even dyno'd well with 286 RWHP and 290 RWTQ from an engine
rated at 320 flywheel. The A/F meter (not sure what brand) read pretty
much 13:1 up to around 6200 when it would go really fat (10:1 by 6800)

The reason he pulled the plugs is that a lot of us 01 Cobra owners have
been experiencing detonation, he said he has not heard anything but
wanted to check the plugs anyway and found that. I'll ask him to take a
few more pics.

Thanks,
Raymond

What water and oil temps are you running?.
Gads, something really ain't right.

Are these colors, true?.
The plugs look like what Shell would color like in the late 80s.

Did this car have a miss?.

It's running way too much timing, borderline too lean, and actual plug
electrode material is too soft.

Great Pics, by the way. Can you try for a shot looking more into the
spark
plug cavity?.
Bruce
