Aerochargers Now lag

Proof of horses for courses. I drove a renault 5 turbo some years ago
and that was just scary. Boost would come in as and when it wanted to,
and with no subtlety. Mid corner in the wet this is an interesting
experience and happens even when you feather the throttle very gently. I
guess with time I would have learned to take corners flat to avoid this,
but 'slow in fast out' is hard to reprogram.

For a car that handles, autos are bad news. For a 1/4 mile blast they
are another thing that can be adjusted to match power, traction etc for
the best result.

Bill (Big caveat: I know that there are guys out there with more skill
than me who can probably get an auto to handle better than my westfield)

Toss in an automatic tranny into the mix, and the *lag* is an asset.
