Hi Kris,
yep, No EGR is odd.   I heard from an importer that the reason they 
have so many low milage export parts is that their government 
has a very oppressive policy toward licenceing cars as they get older. 
 It is inexpensive to register a brand new car, but the price goes up 
considerable each year.  After 3 or 4 years, it is cheaper to buy a new
car than fight the system.  This helps to stimulate the economy by 
forcing the public to buy new cars.  The *old* ones are cut up 
and sold to us.
