The Design of Racing and High Performance Engines
http://www.sae.org/servlets/productDetail?PROD_TYP=BOOK&PROD_CD=PT-53
includes a paper from Honda engineers detailing their testing on the effect of
fuel temperature on power output in their 1.5 liter turbo F1 engine. I can't
recall off hand, but it may be the same paper which details testing of gasolines
with varying levels of toluene and their effect on power output and energy
content per unit volume (or it may have been mass).
