Now that brings back memories! When I found out (a long time ago) that
some lawnmower bodies were magnesium, I scoured the local scrap metal
place til I found some. The people who worked there either couldn't
tell that they were Mg or didn't care, so they were something like
$0.50 to $1/pound. I ended up with more than I could ever use, and
got rid of most of the stash years later. No run-ins with the law,
though... sorry.
