I found a website that shows a procedure to how to build an interface to =
hook the ALDL port to a serial port on a computer and have live data as =
the car is running.  But my question is does the software have to match =
the ECM. or does about any GM diag software that people have written out =
there work.  I downloaded one that was written in turbo pascal. Which I =
have but I think it is written for a different ECM (camaro).  If anyone =
has any help in this matter. It would be greatly appricated.  I have an =
Assoc. Degree in Electronics and would like to know more on how an ECM =
works in a car.
