Modifying/fabricating manifold for injectors?

hey, good plan!

are these cups going to be fine threaded into aluminum?

would a hi-rise single-plenum intake do as well for an EFi hack like this as
a fabricated TPI manifold?

this is fascinating to think one could save a grand or two on retrofitting
EFI by threading in some injectors on dime-a-sozen edelbrocks

Alan,

Get some injector cups off an engine that was originally equipped with K-jet
(I'm familiar with VW and Audi stuff, but there are lots more, Volvo and
Porsche
come to mind).  These are threaded, something like 21x1.5, on the outside so
you
just need to weld threaded bungs to your manifold, screw in the cups and pop
in
the injectors.

Here's a picture of some VW Digifant cups, which are very similar to the
K-jet
cups (the K-jet cups are longer and different threads).
