For some reason, Kaw did the EFI GPZ and then it just totally dropped off
the radar.  Later (much later), EFI returned and frankly it kinda sucked.
It was usually the result of poor calibration, as the EPA has some fairly
simplistic emissions requirements that can be met with some dumb
calibration.  I think that a small hi-perf engine is going to be very
sensitive to a bad calibration, and bikes aren't really forgiving of poor
throttle response.

Take a look at the Suzuki two-stage throttle body system - it shows that
building a very good EFI bike might take a bit more effort than throwing a
throttle body and injectors on an engine.

Yea, I know - I shouldn't have ripped on the Q-Jet.  It's my favorite carb.
And if anyone's ever worked on a good cycle carb, they're very simple and
can be used to obtain great results (which is the reason they're still so
prevelant in the cycle industry).
