T/S EECIV setup

I think that he did run the Diag test on it, but it checked out OK. I am
going to confirm with him. I remember this test with my Ford Truck. I
thought it was pretty cool. It was really my first voyage into EFI & what a
trip that was. I ended up replacing about every part in the EFI system
trying to chase down a rough idle & off idle hesitation & come to find out
from MY Eclin (sp) Rep, that it was My own Ign module, he said to go & buy
the Ford one (the one that he makes for Ford, btw) & that would cure it.
Sure enough it did. I sold the truck about 6 months later.
I am pretty sure that he checked the codes & there were none, but again I
will double check.
Thanks Bruce, your sunshine always warms the cackles of my heart<G>.
any of Yall know if there is a DIY_F*^d list, or a FMC-ECM list or maybe an
EECIV_ECM list?
thanks again gents. he has got to the point where he has pushed it to the
left of the lot, w/no real leads to chase down.

What's the Napa module part number ? I've seen aftermarket modules do some
funky things in a Ford app. When the "Spout" (EST) is disconnected, base
should be
10 deg. He should also do the EEC test that advances the timing 20
degrees--this is
a basic module/ECM checkout. It's one of the keyon engine running
tests...Fords' diagnostic
routine was pretty bad in the early days, just check a scan tool on the
procedure...most
will guide you through it. Sounds like he's starting to throw parts at
it--highly doubt that it's
a KS related problem.
