Throttle-by-Wire

C5's have "drive by wire". you wont be likely to find any in any wrecking 
yard though. Basicly you have an LS-1 throttlebody with a servo motor on the 
side. Too bad they dont have a seperate control module. Its controlled by 
the computer. There are some additional program segments in the corvette 
computer compared to the F-body and truck compuetrs, some of which are 
probably DBW related.

If you want to make youre own servo it would probably be easy with a PIC or 
AVR microcontroller and a pot on the pedal. The servo on the vette has a 
small enough gear reduction ratio that the spring will close the butterfly 
when the power is off. A good safety feature you might want to emulate.
