NASCAR, Cup racing has never allowed any feedback ignition or fueling
corrections.  They do/did allow for data logging in track testing.

Any detonation control devise that claims a HP increase, is going to be, in
part a word game.   Especially in advertising.
Now that said, 1/2 the key to HP is having the timing correct.   So if you
can better manage the timing calibration, you can better optimise the tune,
and in that way NOT LOOSE HP.
