[Diy_efi] [Diy_efi]: Using pots to "tweak" AMM output

Has anyone tried this/doing this? Seems to make sense
that if you used a voltage divider off of the AMM
output and lowered the output by say, 30% and ran 30%
bigger injectors, the car should run. You could even
run a few resistors in the voltage divide in parallel
and then switch them out with hobbes switches to richen
things under boost. I know this is barbaric, but in my
little pea brain it seems theoretically sound. I hoping
someone can comment on the practical limits of this
(just how much bigger can you go retaing the stock
ecu/fuel map), effects on idle, etc. I'm not talking
about any wacky ECU piggy backer or anything, just
plain old hooking up some pots and scaling the output
down and scaling the injectors up.
TIA!
