[Diy_efi] [Diy_efi]: Using pots to "tweak" AMM output

Has anyone tried this/doing this? Seems to make sense 
that if you used a voltage divider off of the AMM 
output and lowered the output by say, 30% and ran 30% 
bigger injectors, the car should run. You could even 
run a few resistors in the voltage divide in parallel 
and then switch them out with hobbes switches to richen 
things under boost. I know this is barbaric, but in my 
little pea brain it seems theoretically sound. I hoping 
someone can comment on the practical limits of this 
(just how much bigger can you go retaing the stock 
ecu/fuel map), effects on idle, etc. I'm not talking 
about any wacky ECU piggy backer or anything, just 
plain old hooking up some pots and scaling the output 
down and scaling the injectors up.
