Spark Table for GM LT4 HOT CAM

Hello,

I'm currently using a Holley Projection-II kit on a self-biult Chevy small
block w/Aluminum Fast Burn Heads and the LT4 Hot Cam. The Holley kit is the
only experience I have with programmable EFI, and I can go on at nauseum
with horror stories about this kit and dealing with Holley when you have a
question not involving a carburator.

I'm new to the group. I started reading posts to this site two days ago,
and I was amazed with the amount of infomration. I decided to buy a GM ECM
and build my own wiring harness to control my engine. After understanding
the features of systems on the market, looking at their prices, and
realizing that I'm NEVER changing the flow characteristics of this engine -
this is the only way to go for me. The cost benefit is staggering. Plus,
I'm a software engineer - so I love this kind of work.

I contacted Ed Wright to see if he could burn a custom MEMCAL for me, but he
said he'd have difficulty - not konwing what to expect from the sensors in
the Holley kit. This is strange, because I think they're all GM. Anyway,
I've decided to do this myself.

I'm really stuck for a starting point on my spark advance map. This was
always an issue for me with the Holley system as well. Does anyone have
experience with this combination of Cam/Heads? I would love a well working
baseline to work off of.

In fact, if anyone has a VE map for this - I would never be able to properly
express my gratitude...

Thanks,
Peter
