Supposedly Supras do that on startup, spikes the voltage for a second. Th=
e
hot-wire is platinum, not sure what the thermistor is made out of. I've
never heard of any MAF failures on mkiv Supras, but that doesn't mean it
hasn't happened.

That's apparently a GM thing. The EEC does not do that, unfortunately. Th=
