Hall effect is to sense the presence or not of a magnetic field, nothing to
do with photo anything.

AFAIK, hall effect means photo-interrupter (I think that is an appropriate
term), not reluctor wheel and inductive pickup, but, honda has their own way
of doing things...

well im not sure why it works. honda swear up and down that its a hall effet
however most testing just show it to be a simple magneitc trigger. it has
the correct switch on switch off impedence. also my timing is what ever is
speced inside the erpom as deliverd. i had original brought the low ref wire
to the ecm without it being grounded but it wouldnt correctly control
timing. i brought the low ref to ground and wham it works. i cant explain
everythign but im sure some one here will.
