Hall effect uses a magnetic property to sense change in magnetic
field strength.

Photo-interrupter is a light beam interruption, either infra red (most
common) or visible.

effet however most testing just show it to be a simple magneitc trigger. it
has the correct switch on switch off impedence. also my timing is what ever
is speced inside the erpom as deliverd. i had original brought the low ref
wire to the ecm without it being grounded but it wouldnt correctly control
timing. i brought the low ref to ground and wham it works. i cant explain
everythign but im sure some one here will.
